In 1971, during performing a mission in Belfast, English young soldier Gary Hook (Jack O’Connell) is accidentally abandoned by his unit due to a riot. Being isolated and disoriented on the streets of Belfast which are full of threats, Gary is chased toughly by both the Provisional Irish Republican Army and the Military Reaction Force (MRF), the covert counter-insurgency unit of the British Army.
